State Oil Production Surpasses Another Record | Video

North Dakota is behind only Texas in oil production. It may take quite a while to get to that amount but the state has surpassed its own record rate. The latest numbers show the state produced some 674,000 barrels of oil a day in July, about 10,000 barrels more than the month before.

The state has 194 drilling rigs, the lowest number it`s had this summer. The Department of Mineral Resources says that`s because oil companies are switching to higher efficiency rigs and looking to cut costs. Nearly 400 wells are waiting for fracking services.
