They advertise the Lint Lizard as a 43 inch long hose. Something that can be attached to any vacuum cleaner and it cleans deep within the dryer vent.
But, does this product actually work? Well, “Don`t Buy It, Until We Try It.”
With high traffic at the Comfort Inn in Minot, Sam Baca has to clean up lots of lint in the guest laundry facility.
"We use a standard vacuum shop vac with a cone end and stuff like that to clean the inside."
While the hotel`s current system is working pretty well, Baca is always looking for new ways to clean up all the lint.
"It seems pretty skinny and stuff like that, so it looks like it could clean out pretty good."
But, before we tested the product, Baca had a few thoughts on the product.
"Yeah, I think it might work pretty good."
We snapped together the Lint Lizard, attached it to the shop vac, and tried it out.
"It took out most of the lint and stuff like that,” said Baca. “The angle on here let me get into positions where I can get everything I couldn`t reach with a regular cone hose."
While there wasn`t too much lint in the dryer we tested, the Lint Lizard did a pretty good job of sucking up all the debris. Not to mention it was easy to set up and the hose extended pretty far within the dryer vent.
So, this week`s “Don`t Buy It, Until we Try It,” earns a thumbs up.
