Belcourt Man Pleads Guilty to Involuntary Manslaughter

A Belcourt man pleaded guilty on Monday to a charge of involuntary manslaughter. Last October, Koleman Gourneau, 30, was driving his vehicle while intoxicated on the Turtle Mountain Reservation when he hit a person who died from her injuries.

The charge has a maximum penalty of eight years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine. Gourneau will be sentenced in January.
