Customs Officials Arrest Wanted Individuals Hidden on Rail Car

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, two wanted Canadians were arrested last weekend in Portal, ND trying to illegally enter the United States. Lorraine Houle, 28, and Jean Corriveau, 23, were discovered by customs officers on September 22, riding aboard a railroad car.

The stowaways were found when the train passed through an x-ray imaging station where the Canadian Pacific Railway crew alerted officers.

The individuals had outstanding felony warrants and were turned over to Canadian authorities.
