Bismarck Man Wins Best of Show in Photo Contest

A Bismarck man has been awarded Best of Show in this year`s North Dakota Governor`s Photo Contest. Nick Hornbacher won for his photo titled Docked Riverboat at Sunset, featuring the Lewis & Clark Riverboat on the Missouri River.

There were a record 987 entries in the contest, which started in May. Including 830 entries online through Flickr.

Photos were judged on originality, subject matter, visual appeal and ability to portray North Dakota as a legendary travel destination in the categories of events, attractions, people, scenery, wildlife and outdoor adventure.
