The former North Dakota State penitentiary Warden`s furnishings are being auctioned off this weekend. Objects include antique dressers, tables, and chairs that the public will bid on. The Missouri River Auction will conduct the event.

People will be able to look over the property before the auction takes place, and plenty have shown interest in the furnishings.

"A lot of wardens have been through there, a lot of family members, mainly those people are interested in obtaining a piece of their past. A lot of people like history and they just want a piece of the wardens house," said Alan Brinkman with ND Surplus Property.

The auction will be held at State Surplus Property tomorrow morning at 10:00. Potential bidders can view the items beginning at 8:00.
