El Salvador Citizen Sentenced for Reentry of Deported Alien

A El Salvador citizen will serve over two years in prison on a charge of reentry of deported alien. In July, Carlos Ernesto Guerrero-Gutierrez, 29, was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation near Watford City. It was discovered that Guerrero-Gutierrez was in the United States illegally after being convicted of sexual battery in Oklahoma in August 2003, and deported in September of that year. He was deported from the United States again in 2008.

Guerrero-Gutierrez will serve two years and three months in federal prison.
