Supporters for Senate candidate Rick Berg are questioning some of the financial support that his opponent Heidi Heitkamp is receiving. Some state lawmakers in Williston today criticized donations an anti-fracking law firm in New York has made to the Heitkamp campaign.

They say taking funds from a company against hydraulic fracturing is wrong for North Dakota, and they`ve asked Heitkamp to give the money back.

"We are definitely not in a position where we want to send somebody to Washington DC who is taking funds from and organization, which is anti fracking, and anti horizontal drilling," said representative Gary Sukut (R-Williston).

A spokesman for Heitkamp said fracking rules in North Dakota should be made by North Dakota, and that Heitkamp does not plan on giving the money back.
