Canadian Beef Recall

J.R. Havens | 10/3/2012

According to the the Canadian Food Inspection agency, there is a recall on ground beef products from XL Foods of Alberta. The CFIA is concerned about possible dangerous E. Coli contamination.

The agency said last week Co-Op stores in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Yukon, Quebec and the Northwest Territories sold beef from XL Foods. The beef was sold under the Kirkland Signature brand in Costco stores and under the Safeway brand in at least five provinces.

The amount of meat involved in the recall hasn`t been announced and there`s been no reported illnesses tied to eating the ground beef.
