Revitalizing Downtown Dickinson | Video

City leaders in Dickinson are planning a revitalization of the downtown area. Downtown is home to many area businesses, but not very attractive. City leaders are working with an architect who designed Minot`s new downtown area. City leaders say this will benefit the city with so many newcomers.

"We`ve got such an opportunity with the lack of housing in the community to bring some of that to the downtown area and thereby bring and attract other opportunities in retail and in bistros or restaurants, those types of things. So we`re going to get some help in that regard," said City Administrator Shawn Kessel.

City leaders say maintaining the historic qualities of the downtown of Dickinson is important as well.
