Right to Life Chain | Video

October is Respect Life Month and about 20 people stood in front of the capitol Sunday to show their pro-life support. According to the U.S. Census, there were about 1,400 abortions in North Dakota in 2008.

The organizer of the Life Chain says abortions should not be allowed under any circumstance, including cases of rape or incest.

"We`ve had several people come out who have been victims or the child of a rape and they are saying I`m here. I was that child of the rape and is my life less than the rest of them," said Virginia Dolajak, president of Bismarck Mandan Right to Life chapter.

Next January will be the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, when the Supreme Court legalized abortions in the United States.
