Bismarck Apartment Fire

The Bismarck Fire Department was called out to an apartment fire in the 1900 block of north 11th Street at around 3:30 yesterday afternoon. When they arrived, firefighters noticed heavy smoke and flame in a third floor apartment.

Crews managed to contain the fire, the apartment received significant damage.

Nobody was in the apartment at the time and others in the building were evacuated. One person was treated for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Preliminary estimates say over $50,000 in damages were caused.
