Sarahbeth Ackerman | 10/17/2012

Police have noticed an increase amount of drugs coming into the area because of the growing population in Minot. Earlier this morning, police responded to a noise disturbance at the LaQuinta Inn.

When officers arrived to the guest room, they found Robin Winfield Stirman, 52, under the influence of a stimulant drug.

Police located a small amount or methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. There was evidence that the paraphernalia was associated with the use of methamphetamine.

Stirman was arrested and is being held at the Ward County Jail. Possession of methamphetamine is a Class C felony.
