Levi Strauss & Company Makes a Visit to MSU | Video

They come in all cuts and sizes, jeans are everywhere. But there is one brand that has a special connection to Minot. Senior Vice President or product development at Levi Strauss & Company Amy Leonard came back to her alma mater, Minot State University, today to tell students what it takes to run a business.

Students had the opportunity to review everyday products to learn first hand what goes into producing them.

"One of the decisions that we make in a business..a real business world..on how you decide everything from the raw materials you use to the country or origin to produce a product, to the distribution network, the considerations for transportation, environmental impacts, trade agreements, toll costs, inventory strategies, what does it take to get a product on your body, on the shelves or in your home," Leonard said.

Lenoard`s topic was "What happens in the life of a pair of jeans."
