Russell Means Passes Away

American Indian activist and actor Russel Means died today at his ranch in South Dakota. Means helped lead the 1973 occupation of Wounded Knee and later became a Hollywood actor. He was 72.

The former leader of the American Indian Movement and one-time Libertarian Party candidate for President was battling cancer.
