Rezoning School Boundaries | Video

Kristin Clouston | 10/22/2012

Bismarck parents wondering where their children will go to school next year are going to have to wait until March to get the answer. Now that the Bismarck district is building two new elementary schools, it needs to redraw school boundaries. The district hoped to have the project complete by January 15, but wants to give a committee of 60 people and a planner more time to work on it.

Superintendent Tamara Uselman explained, "We want to allow this committee working on boundaries enough time to present their work, have a public forum, to go back and work on it again, to have a second public forum if needed, and the board to have enough time to say these indeed will be our boundaries."

The re-zoning committee will start work on the project this week.
