Carpio Fire Contained | Video

Emergency crews have once again contained the fire at the Berthold Farmers Elevator in Carpio. Before the fire started Monday afternoon, the Berthold Farmers Elevator contained seven full bins of grain, but that may not be the case now.

Fire crews are now on site vacuuming the damaged bins to see how far the fire spread.

"I do know local farmers will harvest it off their fields, you know, bring it to the elevator and they do receive compensation. But, for insurance purposes, you know, we`ve got those representatives here, so everybody, you know, is being taken care of,” said Deputy State Fire Marshall Ken Sisk.

Fire crews are on site and continue to put out the hot spots throughout the silo.
