It was a time for parents to get the chance to see if their children are up to speed. At the screening was the sugar sheriff, showing just how much sugar is in certain foods. There was also a speech patholigist and other various booths monitoring their basic skills.
Speech Pathologist Sarah Jacobs says, "A lot of the time, we get questions like is my child on track are they doing everything they need to be doing for their age. So it`s just a good event to get parents more involved and aware of some of those developmental milestones that are very important for both speech, physical and occupational therapy."
Kids were also able to get identification kits made with their picture and fingerprint. A copy went to the Bismarck police department and also back home with their parents.
