Tech Talk: Halloween Fun | Video

Jerame Novak | 10/31/2012

Some people love a good Halloween scare and decorations are becoming more and more elaborate. With animation technology, some even seem to have a life of their own. Because when it comes to decorating for Halloween, it`s all about setting the right mood.

"Yeah, they`ve been going crazy with the scary moss and we have lanterns covered in blood that are battery operated, battery operated candles. We have ghosts that go back and forth on a string that have been a big hit here," said Spirit Halloween District Manager David Cuzner.

And some of those decorations seem to have a life of their own.

"For us it`s the big animatronics, the wolf spitter, you know, and we have a six foot Frankenstein and Ghostface," Cuzner said.

Some items, like the jumping spider, can be activated by a step pad or a remote.

"You can activate it for them, when they are coming to grab their candy maybe, you can set it off remotely," Cuzner said.

There are also fog machines and scary lights that can help create a scary atmosphere.

"The ambiance, we have the clings for the windows that have big scenes of a graveyard or a chop shop or scary ghosts that you can do a whole room with," Cuzner said.

Which will help you create a spirited atmosphere this Halloween.

If you`re looking to save some money for next year. Some stores will be offering after Halloween sales.
