Halloween Leftovers | Video

It was a strong year for stores selling Halloween candy, costumes and decorations. K-Mart began the Halloween season with 30 pallets of candy, and today they only have two partial pallets of treats left. And those candy and costumes are expected to be gone soon thanks to highly reduced prices.

Store Manager Mike Wilson thinks this years successful sales are due to last year`s flood.

“Last year was a difficult year to go against, we had so many things happening in Minot. You had the flood, people trying to recover from that, people had a lot on their plates. There were so many things going on. I don`t know how big Halloween was last year, this is my first Halloween in Minot, but we had a banner Halloween season this year, we`re very pleased with it”.

Wilson also said he expects similar trends for the upcoming holiday seasons.
