Rene Thibault | 11/14/2012

The Minot City Council held a special meeting earlier today. Several items were passed including plans for new lights in the downtown area, but the most important issue approved was the Unmet Needs Study.

The study shows the areas and items the city still needs after last year`s flood. It covers everything from infrastructure to housing.

“They again also know how we came up with the numbers, and that yes they`re in agreement with the and that we`re hoping to move forward with trying to get additional funding," said city finance director Cindy Hemphill.

The study also includes the city`s $500 million long-term flood protection plan.
