Rotary Club`s Project for Hurricane Sandy Victims Expands

| 11/21/2012

The Minot Rotary Club is expanding their clothing drive for victims of Hurricane Sandy. The event, which started as a small clothing drive has been expanded to include additional items and a semi truck drop off location. According to the Rotary Club, because of the large amount of clothing dropped off, the club was not able to ship the clothes to the east coast. A local farmer then donated his time and the use of a semi to transport the items.

Because of additional space, they will now be accepting additional items including clothing, paper towels, toilet paper, diapers and new sheets/blankets.

Items can be dropped off at the Slumberland parking lot at 2100 South Broadway. The collection schedule is:
Sunday, November 25 - Noon - 4pm
Monday, November 26 - 4pm - 7pm
Tuesday, November 27 - 4pm - 7pm

Due to limited space available on the receiving end of the project, no other items will be collected.
