Mexican Citizen Sentenced for False Citizenship Claims

A citizen of Mexico will spend about a year in federal prison for submitting a false claim of U.S. Citizenship. Miguel Angel Torres, 27, will serve one year and one day in prison for the crime.

Torres was arrested in Williams County for DUI in March. When he was arrested, he gave law enforcement a false ID card. It was also found that Torres had given false information on an employment form in Williston.
