Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrests in Fargo

Valley News Live | 11/27/2012

A routine traffic stop in Fargo led to the arrest of two men for possessing several types of narcotics. Robert Nefzger, 45, of Moorhead and Brett Wegter, 23, of Fargo had several bags of marijuana in their car. They also had a white substance that could be methamphetamine, or a mix between meth and heroin as well as $1,800.

They face several drug-related charges including ones involving intent to sell.

"The amount, the way they were packaged certainly were indicators that these were people that were dealing and trafficking in this type of narcotic in our community. And certainly those are the people we want to make sure we stop," said Lt. Joel Vettel with the Fargo police.

The drug investigation started when police discovered the driver, Nefzger, had a suspended driver`s license.
