A Bismarck woman is celebrating a very special birthday today. Julia Dorscher was born in 1908, which means today she is celebrating her 104th birthday. Dorscher was born in Russia but came to North Dakota as a child and lived in Linton until the 1950s, when she moved to Bismarck.

Her daughter-in-law, Vianna, says she went deaf four years ago, but other than that, she`s in good health. As you might imagine, she`s outlived many of her family members.

"She`s the last living child of the Paul family. Her maiden name is Paul and all of her brothers and sisters are gone," Vianna said.

Dorscher had five children, many grandchildren and has 25 great-great-grandchildren.
