City Looking for Flood Feedback | Video

Julie Leonardi | 11/27/2012

There’s still a lot of work that needs to be done to recover from the Mouse River flood. Minot city officials are hoping to seek the help of individuals living in Souris Valley.

The city is hiring a consulting firm to put together a plan with the community in mind. Neighborhoods in the valley that want to have a say on the city`s reconstruction plan can attend public input meetings and give input on things like lights or flood walls.

Lance Meyer, City Engineer, said “It`s a way to see the neighborhood redevelop, if there are things they want to see like more retail services, more opportunities for parks and trails, ideas for neighborhood redevelopment, a broad range of topics."

The firm will be chosen at the next city council meeting.
