Rehab Homes | Video

Exciting news for Minot, city officials estimate 80 percent of flood-damaged homes have been refurbished. The 2011 flood damaged almost 3,000 homes in the Magic City. The city assessor’s office says 80 percent of homes are already being lived in or will be shortly.

There are still 600 homes that still don`t have sufficient repairs, but Cindy Hemphill, Finance Director, said they`re excited by the progress.

“We`re very excited about having this many homes that had work done on them and people back in. That`s a good indication people are staying in Minot. We really wanted to retain the citizens that have been here long term. We have a great community. This is great news overall.”

This survey did not include apartment buildings or mobile homes.
