Mitchell Walck Arrested in Bismarck

Bismarck police have arrested a suspect wanted by the FBI. Police arrested Mitchell Lee Walck, 57, earlier today. Shortly after noon, police were called to the Oasis Truck Stop in Bismarck. After a 34 year old Solen, ND, man found Walck inside his truck.

Walck threatened the man with a gun and then fled on foot to a nearby mobile home park. Police found Walck hiding under a tree near the intersection of Patriot Drive and Lafayette Drive and arrested him without incident. Walck had a handgun in his waistband. Police also recovered a Subaru Forester that was reported stolen from Idaho.

The FBI says Walck was wanted for shooting at an Idaho state trooper, fleeing the scene and kidnapping an adult female at gunpoint, who he later released, unharmed.
