Respiratory Rally in Bismarck | Video

Jessica Roose | 12/7/2012

Representatives from the American Lung Association held a rally in Bismarck this afternoon to provide vital information to those who suffer from chronic lung diseases. They covered topics ranging from oxygen therapy to pulmonary rehab. The goal was to help those with the disease live a more fulfilling and active life and let them know there are plenty of local resources.

"We have programs available here in Bismarck that can help them on a regular basis. Both Sanford health and St. Alexis have pulmonary rehabilitation programs where they meet multiple times a week for multiple weeks in a row and they will talk about what`s going on with your lungs. How are they different than normal lungs," said Cheryl Sasse with the American Lung Association.

The American Lung Association also presented St. Alexius with a clean air leadership award for its technology and education center, which helps reduce air pollution.
