New Town North Dakota and Newtown Connecticut share more than just their names, both communities have had to deal with senseless tragedies.

To show their sympathy for those who lost children and loved-ones during the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting last week, the Junior Class from the New Town High School here in North Dakota, has created cards that will be sent to Sandy Hook. It was a way for the North Dakota students to show their concern and compassion for those in Connecticut, “I think they feel it`s the right thing to do, because of the oil boom and stuff, we`ve experienced death and sorrow too. We know how they feel and we just want to show them that we`re here”, said Bernadine Stevens, a student who worked on the cards.

The New Town, North Dakota High School students will be mailing the cards tomorrow.
