Shoppers at K-mart will have a little help this year from anonymous individuals. Customers that choose to put Christmas gifts on layaway may receive help with the purchase from an angel. Generous individuals are going to K-mart and paying for items that people have on layaway.

These layaway angels remain anonymous and chose to do this simply out of the kindness of their heart.

Store manager Mike Wilson says the reaction of the customers is the best part. “Tears of happiness, pure happiness, surprise, shock. They want to speak to these people that did these nice things for them. Customers don`t want to be known, and that`s the beauty of it. They`re doing it, they don`t want the recognition they`re just doing it to help people. And that`s huge. Especially this time of year.”

Most of the gifts that have been taken care of by the angels are children`s toys.
