Technology can be a popular gift during the holidays. But that new tablet, camera or phone can be costly to replace if it gets broken. There are a few things you can do to help protect your new gifts. Purchasing extra coverage or protection is one option.

There are also a number of accessories, such as cases and screen protectors, that you can also buy to not only protect your new device, but also give it a personal touch.

"The biggest thing is, make sure you get a screen protector. We always recommend to get some sort of case that goes around it. The cool thing about it is, the cases, you can get in many different colors. You can get a red one, a pink one," said Gerrett Kunz with AT&T.
