UND Scientist Gets Grant for Avian Flu Research

A UND scientist received a grant from the North Dakota Commerce Department to continue research on avian flu antibodies. Dr. David Bradley received the Centers of Research Excellence grant of $700,000 for research on antibodies that could help poultry farmers combat outbreaks of avian flu.

Bradley and a company he is working with, Avianax, hope to develop commercially viable therapeutic treatments within 12 to 18 months.
