Gas Stations Get New Names | Video

You may think you don`t pay attention to the name of gas stations when you`re looking to fill up. But marketing agents think you do. That`s why three gas stations in Bismarck have been converted from Conoco to Shell.

Missouri Valley Petroleum decided to convert the gas stations because Conoco has had a declining presence in the state since withdrawing from the Minnesota and eastern North Dakota markets. MVP decided to brand these sites Shell because they are the largest retail gasoline marketer in North America.

A station in Dickinson was also converted, as well as a new location built in Killdeer.
