Man Accidentally Shot in Mandan | Video

One man is in the hospital after police say he was accidentally shot in Mandan early Saturday morning. Police say the incident happened at around 1:30 a.m.

Officers say two groups of men began arguing on Main Street. Police say two of the men followed one vehicle back to a home on the 200 block of 10th avenue NE. They say the driver got out of the car and pulled out a small caliber rifle. That`s when the gun went off accidentally, hitting the man`s friend in the upper leg.

Police say the victim was a 30-year-old Bismarck man. He was taken to a Bismarck hospital.

No one has been arrested. Detectives are continuing to interview witnesses.
