Prostitution In Minot | Video

Fargo, Dickinson, Williston, cities all across the state have been dealing with prostitution lately and you can add Minot to that list as well. Prostitution in Minot is nothing new, but it`s not a top priority for police. The Minot Police Department has been busy this week dealing with break-ins and abduction attempts, so chasing down suspected prostitutes and their customers has been put on the back-burner.

Officers met to discuss the problem Tuesday, shortly after an arrest was made at a local hotel.

Sergeant Dave Goodman said, “We do see the need to proactively investigate to get those cases just because it’s kind of a scar on the city of Minot. We don`t like it going on here so we do hope to work more of that in the future.”

Police say prostitutes have been advertising online and at various locations around town by leaving business cards on car windshields in some parking lots.
