Main Street Minute: Blarney Stone and North Dakota Farm Bureau | Video

Bismarck businesses are growing and moving, and some are even having so much success, they`re expanding into other cities. A popular Bismarck pub is opening a new location in West Fargo. Blarney Stone opened in downtown Bismarck in fall 2009.

About a year ago, they expanded, adding a new indoor/outdoor section. The new location, on the west side of West Fargo, will follow that same concept. "The store will be patterned much the same way it is here in Bismarck with some indoor/outdoor spaces, seats for a couple hundred. 30 beers, great Irish food like we`ve done here in Bismarck," said Jim Poolman.

Poolman says the pub never would have been able to expand without the support of Bismarck patrons. Construction on the new location will begin in a few months.

The North Dakota Farm Bureau will soon have a new home. Construction on a new 8,000 square foot facility in north Bismarck began in December. The building will house the four Bismarck staff members and offer more office space for lease.

The Farm Bureau says it was a good time to make a move. Weather dependent, construction will wrap up in the spring to summer this year.
