Jerame Novak | 1/22/2013

While students in Mandan had today off from school, their teachers were in the classroom learning about technology. Today was the fourth TechKnowledge Day for the district. It was a day for teachers to learn more about using technology in the classroom.

Classes included digital photography, presentation software and other programs. Sessions were taught by district teachers as well as instructors from around the country.

The program is very popular.

"This year was absolutely crazy. We`ve got an online registration and in the first half hour we had 146 teachers register," said Mandan School District Technology Educator Mark Kielpinski.

Within the first 24 hours of registration, there were 281 people signed up. The keynote session filled up in 12 minutes.
