Counterfeit Bills in Bismarck

Retha Colclasure | 1/24/2013

Bismarck police are investigating someone who may have been passing counterfeit 50 dollar bills. Police had one report of someone attempting to use a fake 50 at the Kum n Go convenience store on East Rosser early Wednesday morning. The clerk refused to accept the bill, and the man paid with other bills.

Later in the day, a sunglasses store took a 50 dollar bill that the bank later told them was counterfeit.

Wednesday night, a man ordered a pizza, and met the driver in the entryway to an apartment building on Second Street. When the driver returned to the store, he and his manager discovered the 50 dollar bill the man had paid with was possibly counterfeit.
