You don`t have to be at the KMOT Ag Expo very long to notice that technology has changed the way producers do their job.

"Oh my. It`s gone from a little tiny notebook to computer systems. And everything, all the grain that comes into our yard now is weighed and assigned to a grain bin," said Kitty Tweeten from Washburn.

Producers are finding more technology in the cabs of new equipment.

"As far as technology, the GPS, they`ll auto steer. They will monitor your yield and your moisture on the go down through the field. So there`s lots of different advantages for that," said Tom Wald with Butler Machinery.

Some of the technology you`ll find at the Ag Expo utilize precision agriculture and mapping.

"And what you`re seeing here is that we are able to overlay three maps. We have our Google Earth image in the background, then we have our prescription map and our coverage map on top of that. So that`s what we`ve been demonstrating here and it`s really been attracting the crowds," said Michael Murison with Outback Guidance.

Vendors say that producers can use technology in the field to grow a healthier bottom line.

"With the technology, they can get down and look in the field, at areas of the field. Am I making money in this area of my field? Losing money in this area of my field? And can I do something about that in the future? Can I change that?" said Paul Overby with Verdi-Plus.

And those changes are sure to continue.

Friday is the last day of the Ag Expo. Doors will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
