Road and Highway Improvement Bill to be Signed Today

North Dakota`s highways will get some help thanks to a bill that was fast tracked in the State Legislature. Governor Jack Dalrymple will sign into law Senate Bill 2176 during a ceremony at the State Capitol at 2:45 this afternoon. Joining Dalrymple for the bill`s signing will be Senate Majority Leader Rich Wardner, House Majority Leader Al Carlson, other legislators and Grant Levi, Interim Director of the North Dakota Department of Transportation.
In passing Senate Bill 2176, a portion of Dalrymple`s proposed $2.7 billion Road and Highway Improvement Package, will include an emergency clause in the bill to expedite highway and road projects slated for western North Dakota and other areas of the state.
