Literacy Without Borders

One Bismarck educator is sharing her experiences overseas with others across the state. "Literacy Without Borders" is a compellation of photographs taken by Pam Retting from her trips to Africa.

Retting is a Reading Specialist for Bismarck Public Schools. She has spent over 12 months been a volunteer for promoting literacy in third world countries over the past 13 years.

The exhibit is currently on tour around North Dakota, the schedule is below.

The Art Center, Jamestown - January 17- February 23, 2013 (Pam`s Gallery Talk: Feb. 3 at 1 pm)
University of Mary, Bismarck - March 1 - April 18, 2013
Northwest Art Center, Minot - June 1- June 30, 2013
Bismarck State College - November 1 - November 30, 2013
Dickinson State University - March 1 - March 30, 2014
Lake Region Heritage Center - April 7 - May 7, 2014
