Grand Forks Man Sentenced for Transportation of Minors

A Grand Forks man will serve 14 years in federal prison for transporting two juveniles for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity. Gregory Joseph Frohlich, 56, pleaded guilty in October to transporting two mentally disabled girls from Grand Forks to Thief River Falls, MN to have sex with them. According to the U.S. Attorney`s office, further investigation revealed that Frohlich had been engaging with sexual conduct the girls for almost two years, beginning when they were 13 years old.

Frohlich`s prison sentence will be followed by a lifetime of supervised release, a $100 assessment to the Crime Victim`s Fund and Frohlich will have to register as a sex offender. Restitution will be determined at a later date.
