Kahl Shooting: 30 Years Later | Video

Thirty years ago today, Medina, North Dakota was in the media spotlight. Two U.S. Marshals were killed in a shootout north of Medina. Authorities set up a roadblock to arrest Gordon Kahl, who was wanted for violating his probation. Kahl had served time in prison for not paying taxes, but no arrests were made that day. Instead, Kahl escaped and led authorities on a nationwide manhunt.

Kahl was eventually found and killed about four months later in Arkansas.
