NDHP to Conduct Seat Belt and Child Restraint Enforcement Effort

The North Dakota Highway Patrol, Northwest Region, will be conducting an extra enforcement effort for restraint violations. The enforcement effort will take place on February 21 in conjunction with Child Passenger Safety Month.

Officers will be on the lookout for seat belt and child restraint violations. Minot and Williston offices, along with surrounding communities will be involved in the enforcement.

According to the NDHP, last year, about 55 percent of people killed in vehicle crashes in the state were not wearing seat belts.
