Early Enrollment | Video

Kindergarten enrollment is underway at Minot Public Schools for the 2013-2014 school year. Last year, there were, on average, 80 families per day stopping in to enroll their children. With 700 to 800 new Kindergarteners expected, Minot Public Schools is starting the process earlier.

Some of the basic information that parents and guardians will need when registering their child include: a valid photo ID, a state certified birth certificate, immunization records for each child, proof of residence and custody papers, if applicable.

“Kindergarten enrollment had been very good. We`ve had just under 300 students that have registered so far. We would like to get the children enrolled sooner than later so the schools have an idea of how many children they will have, so they can get books ordered. So I am hopeful we will have the bulk of the kids enrolled by the end of April,” said Enrollment Specialist Barb Hansen.

Parents and Guardians can fill out documents online or make an appointment with an Enrollment Specialist at the Minot Public Schools’ Administration Building.
