ND Ranks Fourth in State Export Growth

| 3/8/2013

The U.S. Department of Commerce recognized North Dakota today for the state’s growth in export sales. According to Governor Dalrymple’s office, last year, North Dakota’s exports increased from $3.39 billion in 2011 to $4.29 billion in 2012, an increase of 26 percent.

“U.S. exports supported 9.8 million jobs in 2012,” U.S. Department of Commerce Under Secretary Fancisco Sanchez, said in a letter to Dalrymple. “This growth would not have been possible without your contributions.”

Last year, businesses in the state shipped products to over 140 foreign countries.
