Woman Arrested for Child Neglect

Bismarck police arrested a 26-year-old woman after she left a two-year-old boy alone outside for about two hours yesterday evening. The boy wasn`t wearing a coat, and it was 15 degrees at the time. Police say a neighbor called just before 9:00 to say the boy was walking outside, screaming loudly.

She had seen him outside about two hours earlier, but thought he was being supervised at the time. Police showed up and say the boy was shaking, his arms were red, and he was cold to the touch. No one was inside except a three-year-old girl.

The woman returned home and said when she left, both kids were in the living room. She was arrested on charges of felony child neglect, and taken to jail.
