Bomb Making Materials Found in Williston | Video

Chris Williams | 3/14/2013

Williston Police responded to a call about a possible bomb at a business this morning. Fire and emergency crews also showed up just off of 26th street at around 10:30. Officers say a worker found a bag with materials that could be used to make a bomb.

A Hazardous Devices Unit from Minot used robots to search the building for any other materials but didn`t find anything.

Police say some oil field workers use explosives, but they didn`t immediately know if the business there normally uses those types of materials.

"It`s not like we deal with this day to day, so that`s the hard thing. I can`t even remember the last time that the bomb squad was called to the Williston area for anything. So I can`t really say one way or another how long it`s going to take," said Detective Cory Collings with the Williston Police Department.

Four businesses were evacuated because of the potential risk.
