Poison Prevention Training

The North Dakota Safety Council and the North Dakota Department of Health will be conducting free poison prevention trainings in several cities next month. The five city Poison Prevention Training Blitz will be on April 10-12 in Fargo, Jamestown, Lidgerwood, Mandan and Minot.

The North Dakota Safety Council says the trainings will cover the latest trends in poisonings, including prescription drug abuse and street drugs, risk factors for children, the region`s outdoor poisons, and poison prevention techniques for work and at home.

In a release, the North Dakota Safety Council says that poisonings are the third leading cause of unintentional injury deal in the state.

The trainings are free and open to the public. Registration and more information can be found at www.ndsc.org.
